Happy 2010 Texas Independence Day!  Happy Robert W. Thornton Independence Day!  This evening, I will be signing a Declaration of Legal Separation document between myself and Laura.

Most of you know the situation.  We are on the way to an amicable divorce and I am seeking employment in Texas once again.  That’s generally the reason that I have been off my game since July.

Brother Jack and I went to New York City (yes, you read that correctly) to celebrate Texas Independence at a great Texas Music concert there.  We had a blast and I expanded my appreciation for the world.

I have thoughts about the current state of politics, but that will be fleshed out in due course.  I am on my way back.
